Reminds me of a National Guardsman driving a deuce-and-a-half here in Houston during Tropical Storm Allison ( a 36" rain event, BTW). Floodwaters had lifted the truck off the ground...it was floating, and HFD was in a rescue boat trying to get the Guardsman to bail. The Guardsman, who was having none of that, kept the truck running, and as it occasionally touched pavement, he kept it rolling, and got it to safety, out of the water.

You could just see it on his face, "no f'n way am I losing this truck."
