Damn. That mofo's got a serious cannon. Sure puts the Warthog's primary weapon into perspective. Damn thing's essentially a flying, titanium-encased, gun.

Holy shiite that's a cannon

Do you guys have connections to a fab mechanic that could help me mount that mofo on my F350?
Never know when that impending zompocalypse is coming. :yesnod:

If I was the pilot, I'd brush the words, "Hakuna matata, Mofo!" on the side of the joker.

Or get the slow azz driver out of the left hand lane. :leaving:

That rig would come in handy for CT highways. Those left lane bandit mofos are about the worst on the East Coast. :issues:

Pretty much. You should hear and see how it chews up armor on the ground. Only thing cooler then that is Spooky/Spectre firing 105 shells down from above. Now that's a light show.:D:cert:

That there Phalanx (Close-In Weapon System) puts on a good show, too. I had the chance to peep ol' R2-D2 in action during a live fire demo when I worked at CACI, Inc. as a tech writer.

What you need to do is turn the cannon into a pressure washer. Win/Win/Rinse.

They have minimum air speed to fire the cannon if i'm not mistaken, as it can slow them down THAT much.

Another little tidbit.

After the First gulf war Grumman ( which ha the contract to maintain the A-10 after Fairchild folded) did an after action review along with the government and realized that it took one round to kill a tank. The original estimates were that it would take a minimum of ten rounds.

After weeks of digging they realized the initial design, all done with slide rules and such, had a decimal place off on the effective of the 30MM round.

And it is still the grunts on the ground favorite airplane. . . regardless of what the Air Force thinks.

Try walking on the flight deck of a carrier, 4 hours sleep because you worked 20 the day before, and they fire that coc*sucker off without you knowing. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! That was a bad week!:barnbabe:
