Filming the event on my folks color TV with a 8 mm camera, brightness and contrast and color turned up a bit in a darker room and the film was lost in the past....we did watch it once on the projector though.....

so long ago, and to let it go that way....sis and I really should have saved it out, 20 years ago....

When Challenger blew up I had just completed a flight. I was going to the BOQ office to check for mail. Someone I passed told me about it. It was on the tube when I walked into the BOQ office. I was landing the plane at about the time it happened.

When Reagan was shot I had returned to the dorm from class and it was on the news.

When Challenger blew up I had just completed a flight. I was going to the BOQ office to check for mail. Someone I passed told me about it. It was on the tube when I walked into the BOQ office. I was landing the plane at about the time it happened.

I was a freshman in high school (1981) when Reagan got shot. Our civics teacher, Mr. Mitchell, turned on the cable TV in the classroom and we watched the news unfold that entire period.

I was a sophomore in college during the Challenger explosion. I was about to head out the door for class when Good Morning America on ABC broke the news.

That Williams Space Shuttle Pinball Adventure arcade machine came out two years earlier and I always thought it was the eeriest thing to hear that synthesized scream of the astronaut after his heat shield failed during gameplay.
