View Full Version : Is 7lbs enough???
Cruising to work this morning, top down tunes up. I'm on 495 running 70 or so when the car bucks a little. I move over and it dies completely. I coast to a stop just off the road. I have a fuel pressure gauge and I notice that with the ignition on I only have 7lbs of fuel pressure - not 60.
Looks like it ate the Wallbro 255. AAA showed up in about 15 minutes and the guy was very careful putting it up on the flat bed. It's off to see Joe Mallo at Koons Chevrolet Tysons.
Glad this didn't happen on a road trip in Eastbuma****, VA
At least I looked good sitting beside the road. :)
UPDATE:
I've heard from Joe Mallo at the dealership. BTW: He is the only person at any stealership I would let touch the car.
The direct fuel pump wire to the alternator touched the header and melted. No big deal. Car will be ready this afternoon.

Dont you love when its a simple fix and you dont get ripped off.
Some shops would of easily charged you for a new fuel pump and just fixed the wire.
