Thanks Ted - I have eaten all of the deer sausage from this year and just about all of the deer steaks as well. Not much left in the freezer until turkey season.

Alton Brown f'n rocks! I love how he goes into the nerdy intricate details of the physics of cooking and preserving food.

The engineer in me likes watching and learning. Plus his stoooooopid theatrical sense of humor is right up my alley. :funnier:

They look really good

:iagree: But needs more salt. Salt makes you thirsty. Salt makes you wanna drink more beer. More beer = Good! :D

These pretzels are makin' me thristy!

We're making venison curry tonight with some venison stew meat. A friend of mine that's from Tennessee went home for the holidays and his father, who is a master butcher, had a buddy who raised deer for a private hunting resort. His buddy gave him a huge grain-fed buck. My friend brought us about 30 lbs of prime quality venison. The loin steaks are to die for. I've already ate 9 of them. :D They are great rare or just barely medium-rare, sliced thin. Almost like deer sushi.
