He just filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy and listed more than $500,000 in personal debts. He was always a little too intense (and nuts) for me with his acting, but he did have some choice roles. How the fcuk can actors spend so much damned money?

Coke is not cheap, not to mention all the other goodies it takes to fill the "empty spaces" :yesnod:

Just guessing, but some of the clubs those guys hang out are not cheap.

Not to mention other party supplies that may or may not be in his plan.

Hollywood chicks would be expensive.. (just a guess again) :bilmem:

I can't remember any of his movies, but thought he always did a good job

That explains his crappy commercials for one of the car dealers here in the area.

That guy is nuttier than a squirrel turd. How he made that much money in the first place is pretty amazing.

From wiki:

Motorcycle accident and brain damage

On December 4, 1988, Busey was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in which he was not wearing a helmet. His skull was fractured, and doctors feared he suffered permanent brain damage.

At the recommendation of Dr. Drew Pinsky, Busey was seen by psychiatrist Dr. Charles Sophy. Sophy suspected that Busey's brain injury has had a greater effect on him than realized. He described it as essentially weakening his mental "filters" and causing him to speak and act impulsively. Sophy recommended Busey take a medication called Depakote (valproic acid), to which Busey agreed.

Busey is an "occasional" top actor. But he lived & $pent as if he were a much more successful "top actor" than he is.

Was just a matter of time before it caught-up to him...

IMO he had ONE decent role in The Buddy Holly Story and that was it. No surprises here.

True, but he's had a helluva lot of roles, for which I assume he got paid rather handsomely. Even if he got "only" a few hundred thousand for each role, seems like one could save some of it.

I peeped him a couple of weeks ago on Daystar Television Network in that 2000 movie "Tribulation."
