I like how he casually looks over at her like they're on the freeway

Her screams and the transmission sound identical. If my wife did that I'd push her out.

I think he grabbed her ass on her way out.
I'd love to see an interview afterwards with her.

I did a a ride along in a Sprint Cup car. My kids gave it to me as a father's day present one year.

Although we didn't go in the infield, it was still a blast.

Funny thing is, when I've seen it on TV and they go 3 wide in the corners it looks like there is plenty of room. Riding in the car gives a totally different perspective. Look to the right and it seems the wall is right there. Look to the left and it seems the apron is right there as well. It's no wonder they always end up having "The Big One" during the 4 & 500 mile races.

One other thing, I would have thought that with 31° and at those speeds (we were around 150-160) that there wouldn't be much centrifugal force. Boy, was I ever wrong! That night I had bruising on my thigh and shoulder from the roll cage.

Factoid: Why is Daytona's banking 31°?

"Big Bill" France was building it, he insisted on 31-degree banking in the corners. That's as steep as he could make the turns and still keep the machines putting down the asphalt from tipping over.

Not sure of the reason that Talledega was able to get to 33°. Maybe because it was built 10 years after Daytona and they had improved the asphault machines to allow it? Dunno.

I've had Andy Pilgrim give me a ride around VIR in my car. He's a pretty good driver. :leaving:

I couldn't really tell if she was having so much fun she couldn't control herself, or if she was so frightened out of her mind that she couldn't control herself!

He was so cool and collected on the laps, I can't imagine why she would have been scared.
:(

Oh well, I guess that's why there are so few women in motorsports.
