Wife and I have a small motor home, we planning on a trip to KW in the next few months....web searches are not terribly friendly for the info we want....

we hear of gay pride day/week whatever....when is it so we can plan to avoid it....

are there any plug in camp ground on the islands 30 amp service....???

it really don't look all that large that we maybe able to park and walk....even if no camp ground on KW directly, where is the next closest??

what can we expect to pay for lunches/dinners?? I suspect we will do our own cooking, assuming a plug in campground, can we just park in some lot overnight without them going nutz,?? it's a 22' long unit...small....

what other keys on the way down/back to stay at with our rig??

we plan on slo travel down rt1 or a1a then across gator alley to pick up 98 past the islands and mosey up to Cedar Key, then home....total time ten days....

Just park that beautiful rig at Joecoools. He will even supply the electricity and let you poop in his house. Those Dems are for free everything else so how about some free hospitality.:shots:

The dates of Key West Gay Pride this year are June 6 through June 10, 2012.

This place looks reasonably priced.

Hey mrvette, just found this,Long Key State Park is nearly on top of the water—every site is waterfront—and the views are spectacular. The area is peaceful, and one of the best ways to pass an afternoon is picnicking on the tables alongside the surf.

You can eat at El Siboney (http://www.elsiboneyrestaurant.com/) cheap and it's great. Some locals turned us on to it, Cuban food with a coffee bar, beer, and great family-style Cuban food.

I'm not sure if 7th Heaven is still around, it's great for breakfast. As far as RV stuff goes, uhhhhh...

If you don't find El Siboney's menu cheap, you probably shouldn't go to Key West.

If you have a way to get on Key West NAS, they have a campground there just a stones throw from everything.:cert:

Gay Pride dosn't run continuouly there any longer?

Well, if it does, we stay long enough to visit Hemingway's bar/grill/house whatever, and then leave,....

NOT interested in pinko fag bullshit....

:kimblair::leaving:

SO I guess we not going to spend much time there, sounds like a day trip at best, back to the mainland .....

figger 3 hours down, 3 back and not spend 80 bux/night for a silly 30 amp hookup.....

That pix is near 2 years old, paint was done not long after that patchwork...

that was before the transmission yet, and the interior....I think...

I rebuilt it from ground up, basically...good hobby project, kept my ass from robbing banks out of boredom.....:slap::dance::lol:

That was a whimsey pix, when on the roof removing that stupid roofing TAR off the fiberglass to be able to seal the damn thing with new hatches/tops...it got to be a mess with her wife bringing he shit all the time, and handing up through the hatch, so she was on a ladder inside, and popped up a few times and I cracked up asking for a camera, saying she reminded me of them arcade games....'Wack a Mole' , so I call her my Go-Fer.....got news, that little now 60 y/o granny is TOUGH, we get into projects and she hangs in hard with NO complaints, just support....lets just say country gals got it WAY over city gals....for a guy like Me anyway....

Yeh, I maybe should edit that account pretty heavy, too many repeats and outta sequence, and no late pix....the joint is damn nearly ready for the road....I HOPE!!!@###$%

Honestly I enjoy Islamorada and Marathon better than key west. Plan a day trip or two into Key west but stay in the middle of the islands. JMHO
