Every year ive gone to panama city beach or florida for that matter I have had a miserable time. 08 I blew out the clutches in my transmission. 09 was the Trip from hell (ended up bringing the biggest D-bag in history on this trip) 10 I blew the motor up a few weeks before I went.
So this year I want to do something different.

Ideas?

I dunno, but it sounds like you need to fly instead of drive.

So this year I want to do something different. Ideas?

Go to New York City. Visit the National September 11 Memorial where 2,606 innocent souls perished and resolve of a nation was tested.

Go to Philadelphia. Visit Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were debated and the seeds of a great nation were planted.

Go to Washington, D.C. Visit the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and see where 58,272 names are solemnly remembered.

Go to Gettyburg. Visit the Gettysburg National Military Park where 8,000 soldiers gave their life for God and country and the course of a war was altered.

Go to Camden. Visit the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial where the most decorated battleship, a veteran of three wars, floats in her final resting place.

Go somewhere. Do something. Stand where history was made and gain some perspective.

Don't go anywhere expecting to hook-up. You're not that guy and never will be that guy. Go somewhere you'll have fun, relax, or learn something. I think FasterTraffic has some great ideas.

Nothing wrong with staying around the house and going to a different local place every night with friends.

:iagree: It can be a helluva lot cheaper too. And, if you need a tow, you're close to home. And, going to jail out of state can be a bitch. Stay where everyone knows you and you might can get out of it. :leaving:

If you can't have a good time at Panama City Beach during spring break...you are doing it wrong.

I enjoy going over just to watch the fun and check out the latest crop of co-eds...as I'm too old to play in the reindeer games. :cert:

How about some charity work, like Habitat or something? A lot of students do that kind of thing now, and you'd probably end up meeting some nice coeds that way instead of some bar skanks (not that there's anything wrong with the latter, but it is something new :seasix:

Hardly. I went to the University of Missouri at Rolla. We did St. Pats like you would not believe. Essentially the St. Pats festivities started around the middle of January and continued through St. Pats itself. The week of St. Pats was like a concentrated version of Spring Break without the beaches. Although many of our women had to be imported from such obscure places like St. Louis and Columbia (and in my case, Joplin) we managed to actually party our asses off just fine thank you. Playboy had an expose' of the top 25 party schools. I'm not sure what the top school was but they had a blurb that UMR was so far ahead of these other schools in pure and utter debauchery that it wasn't really fair to include them in with these other "party" schools.

Too bad that the forces that be have pretty much put the kabosh on St. Pats. It's a very much watered down version of what it used to be. I just feel sorry for kiddies like you because you have know earthly idea of what you talk about.

Thanks, but no need to feel sorry, I have managed to have a good time, plus spring break is two weeks away, and come to think about it. No need to import women. I already know most of them.:cert:
