Other than a Leupold scope print to my brow, after a 168 grain load through the Remington 700 .308, it was a good day. Yes, there was blood....Doh !!!!
We were testing different loads through a Remington 700 for John's work, and the 168 grain took me by surprise. Oh well, shit happens.
Here's some pics:

A 9mm that John Let Me throw about 100 rounds through. I brought ammo, but he said "keep it", He gets it free from work.:seasix:

NFW, with Thomas, and Bingo Fuel around. The chops would be endless.....The girls at work were laughing their asses off though. My brow looks like the Geico caveman's...

I think everyone has once in their shooting careers, as well as a semi-auto slide cut in the web between the thumb, and pointer.....I'm still waiting for that one though....:D

Sounds like you had a good time buddy.
Were you happy with how you shot?

As for the pics I think whether or not you post a pic, it's just a matter of time before a photoshoped one shows up.

Did you figure out exactly what you did wrong? Or are you going for a repeat? :D

You haven't lived until you "M1'd" your thumb. I've seen tough guys cry

I've almost got my thumb, I got a small cut--close enough for me to learn my lesson.

:yesnod: That thing is right on at 100 yards...

Ya, really happy...

We centered it, but didn't adjust the height, as we were only 100 yards.

Ya, I didn't shoulder it. That last inch was a mother f'r..... Just lack of concentration.

I ate a Quadrant sight on a M203 once.

I have a good load worked up for 7MM Rem Mag with 168g Sierra Match Kings if you want I can share it. My brother does all my reloading and his stuff is as accurate as any I have shot out to 800 yards. Just let me know.

Sure, I'll take your potion.... John loads all of his own stuff, and I'm sure he'd like to try it.
We were testing subsonic rounds for a 50,000 round police department order that his company has to fill.....Those didn't group for chit. The Winchester 168 grain blue tips were killer though...

Learn from your mistake and don't do it again ( it's one of those "life lessons" )

Over / under sights are evil. I've seen plenty of folks get beaned using the iron sights and get zapped by the scope.

I have a great load for my 7mm win mag ( H450 & 154 gr winchester power points ). I will not share it with anyone as the powder charge excedes 7 mm wby loads.

I've learned by experience all my life, and believe you me....That's one I won't make again.....It was quite embarrassing, actually, but like I said, shit happens.....My pride hurt more than my brow.

I just sent an email to my brother. When he gives me the specs I will send them your way. These loads are conservative but accurate out of our rifles.
