I think it means that it is not working.

It means you should probably contact them.

Can you FTP access your site?

I spoke to the blue host online but I don't have the cpanel password they asked for.
A friend of mine has multiple sites with bluehost and he just added mine to the list. All his sites are down also. He was told by our (webmaster) that our server is down which it's not.
Blue host said that this usually means all the info is missing or has been corrupted in some way but he needs access to our cpanel which I do not have.

I can't even log in to my site.
The only access I have to my site directly by adding /wp-admin to the end of it and logging in with my password. That's not working either.

I just did some generic checks from the outside, and it looks like your Domain info is OK

It looks like there's some issue with your Hosting though. Right now, I see what looks like a generic Parking page at BlueHost. That could have been caused by someone not paying the hosting bill, but you'll usually get a different nag-page when that happens.

Edit... Now I get a "Wordpress Installation" when I go to your page, asking for an Admin login. That supports the previous story about the server going down, and likely they're restoring it from backups now. What I see now looks like a partially restored website. Wait a bit while their restore from backup finishes, and it might be OK then.

Awesome. Thanks a lot. I hope all my info isn't gone. Took me a while to do all of that.

I guess I should ask if there is a way of backing up my website?

Different hosts have different ways to do that. You'll have to ask BlueHost.

My own website is simple text based, and I edit that on my own PC. When I finish editing, I upload files to the host(s) and check my work there. Since the originals are on my own PC, that's where I backup.

That could have been caused by someone not paying the hosting bill

that possibility exists.

They will redirect web requests to a "lame page", as to not startle your customers - expecially if you're just a day late in paying the host; or it's a mistake on their part. The "nag" page; usually you won't see that until you're wayyyyy behind in payment.

that possibility exists.

I have been told that didn't happen. But you never know.
I guess I should start to take care of my own hosting sooner or later.

That "Install WordPress" button on the bottom of the current page is worrisome, though. Hopefully that will go away soon, we'll see. Otherwise, maybe you should login before somebody else does. Can't tell if that would cause trouble, though. Perhaps another call to service with this new info would help.

Yeah, I was going to try and login but I saw that and got spooked.
