I've been into winter food lately, without much fresh salad, so I just finished a very large bowl of fresh greens with roma tomatoes, a smashed clove of garlic, chopped bacon and parmagiano cheese on top. Makes me feel like I done good for a change! :hurray:

If the sky is clear, check the northern sky, right now is the biggest northern lights display in decades and visible pretty far south. Major eruptions on the sun a couple days ago.....may even disrupt satellites, and TV viewing!

Frugal dinner there Larry. Well for me it would be.
Reminds me of an old boss I had who was from England.
He'd eat sardines and crackers for dinner.
I don't know how he could do it.

Bacon wrapped filet on the grill, corn, baked beans, and some garlic bread.

Light the grill, open a single serve can of beans and corn and put it on immediately. Let the grill heat for a few minutes. Toss on the steak and the bread. Flip each once and done... 15 minutes from start to finish and only 1 plate, a fork, and the grill spatula to clean. Total cost if you find a deal on some good steaks... < $8.

I'm pretty good at this being single thing. It might not be gourmet with the canned veggies, but it sure beats a fast food joint.

Onion soup (I made it this past Sunday, still enought for another meal),

At the Public Market in Downtown Milwaukee on Sunday, I saw a block of 15 year old Cheddar.
$99.00/lb. Pass.
10 year old for $40.00/lb. Still to rich for me, but I did sample a piece of the 10 y/o.
I have never tasted anything like that. It was Mahvalous.
