Who uses/has used?

A strait razor? I've always been tempted to try one, but never have. Electric razors don't work on my beard very well, so I use a Gillette Fusion Pro-glide Power. Will the shave be as good or better with this old school piece?

Is something like this worth the money to try out or should I look at something better?

I used an old fashioned double edge razor blade for years. The Gillette Mach three is better though.

I fought razor burn and crappy shaves for years with the various multi-blade high-tech instruments of torture and stumbled across the straight razor forums. I've been using straights for a couple of years and get smoother, more comfortable shaves than I ever thought possible.

I got one for Christmas one year and tried a few times to use it, I obviously don't know how, cuz it hurt like hell and left nasty razor burn. Not sure what kind I have, but it wasn't a cheap one. Came with a beaver hair brush and the soap to be used, and whatever the strap thing that you use for it.

Same here! I hate the sight of blood, especially my own!:cry:

I've asked barber for a shave, it's on the bucket list, but none will do it anymore due to AIDS I guess?
