Need help finding pull start for ATV for Shriners

Here's the deal. We have 6 x LIFAN 110-st ATVs that were donated to our club about 5-6 years ago. They are chinese knock offs (clones) of honda motors.

The pull starts have internal parts made of plastic, and after so many years of use, they are falling apart because they are cheaply made. The problem I have is that I can't find parts or a LIFAN dealer anywhere.

This particular pull start mounts on the left side of the 110cc 4-stroke engine and is held to the engine by 5 screws. Can any of you find a site that sells this pull start or find the part and a link to it? I have two ATVs dead in the water and no way to fix them. Our Shrine club would really appreciate it any help so we can get our entire fleet up and running whan the parade season starts in March so we can increase awareness about the Shriner's Children's Hospitals. I've tried seeing if any Honda ATVs had matching parts since, as stated, this think is a clone of Honda equipment, but no dice :(

I'll be able to get the parts later tonight and will psot pics if they are needed. If the pull start can't be found, is there a kick start mechanism that could be bolted on in its place?

I can't help on your specific parts, BUT, a old trick I been using for decades now, is to cut out the entire rewind/pull starter on the lawnmowers, cut a hole in top of the plastic housing, to allow a 1/2" electric drill with a cut off 3/8 extension bar, and a proper size socket welded to the end of the extension....fits to the nut on end of crank where the old pull start and the flywheel go.....

this allows me to flip on the ignition, turn on fuel flow, prime carb, and crank away....what would take about 3-4 GOOD pulls when cold, starts immediately in about 4 seconds now.....

Did you contact Harbor Freight? That's pretty much all they do is import Chinese crap, including the motors you described.

Also, since they are Honda clones, will Honda pull starts actually bolt up? Might be worth checking out with a Honda dealer that sells mowers, generators and power washers, not just ATVs.

I went to HF, too, and figured it was a long shot, but they do not carry ATV parts.... just small honda and B&S clones/knock off engines.

Thanks. Sonofa65again at the other place has asked for pics/specs to see if he can mill the starter pulley out of metal for me. This is the best option so far and the most promising. The plastic pulley is crap and a metal one won't disintegrate like the original one will. If he can do it, it'll be worth the money,
