It would be poetic justice if one of those guys ends up killing a loved one of the ex-governor.....better if the ex-governor himself gets it from one of the now innocent murderers.

This is pure politics: Bitter enemies Jim Hood (Democrat Attorney General) vs. Haley Barbour (Republican Governnor). They have battled each other since day one. Plus I caution you to look at each pardoned case individually, even if it looks bad as a whole. Some examples:

Brett Favre's son: His original sentence was 2 years probation, but because he violated his probation by leaving the State to go on a hunting trip, he was sentenced to 14 years. Barbour reinstated his original sentence.

Karen Irby: Yes, she was driving drunk and caused a wreck that killed two people; she got 18 years. But, her husband, who was in the car with her, was beating up on her at the time she lost control of the car. The families of the victims even asked that she receive only a suspended sentence. She still faces 2 years of home confinement and 2 years probation.

(Name I can't recall just now): He was convicted of murder for shooting a woman and an 18-year-old boy. Guess what? There was no evidence to prove that he pulled the trigger.

I am not defending a Republican Governor simply because I like him. I just ask that you learn the facts first.
