Is it for the smart kids or the dumb kids?

It's for both, because... you know... they're polar opposites! http://i206.photobucket.com/albums/bb164/ApexOversteer/smileys/rimshot.gif

Whatever it is you do, you should stay in your field.

Too bad your parents didn't care enough about your future to choose a magnet school for you to attend. :sadangel:

I don't know if there are specific magnet schools, but when I was in high school, schools had magnet programs, such as my high school which had law and finance and some of the other high schools had criminal justice or engineering.

Magnet programs are used for preparing students for a career field that interests that student. Its also forces the student to work harder and nearly doubles the work load for the student. It's another form of advance education similar to gifted programs

My kid goes to one and if that is where the challenging curriculum is and the good teachers are then God help the average kids.

OK, I ask because supposedly they are building one not far, and since both my kids are already in the AGP classes, (Academically Gifted Program) I wasnt sure if that was where they would be asked to go or not.

It's where little magnets go to become atom smashers.

They have their pluses and their minuses.

They are particularly attractive to students who are bipolar.
