What? You don't like the bird manglers? They are FOR YOUR OWN GOOD! Global Warming! OMG! CO2 is poisoning the planet! Nuclear power will kill us too! Solar and wind! We need power that is available at times!

Interesting perspectives.
I'm all for advanced energy generation, but big changes don't come without their share of problems and sacrifices.
I don't think I'd want one of those that close to my house either.
We have some of those further North of us and they are amazing to look at though.

I think I'd rather see what we can do with solar. Although I've seen a few fields that had enormous solar panel grids; they weren't as unsightly, noisy or objectionable.
I know they've been making some advances with cell longevity and efficiency. Will be nice as that evolves and prices come down.

I'm with you on the alternative energy, the documentary definitely does show the downside of windmills when placed close to homes - I would absolutely go crazy having that shadow go through the house like that, -

I'm all for off-shore or desert windmills, or even some mountain tops, but not in a backyard.

FCK YOU all you environmentalist fkin fks.
There's enough oil, coal and natural gas in America to last for centuries.
Scumbag Obama shipped off all our Gulf oil rigs but non American big oil companies across the globe are still drilling there w/out the encumbrances American companies have to undergo. ANWAR tied up also.

Also, why t f can't these windmills be made quiet(er)?

Never thought how it would impact others who live near them.
