Trying to get feedback, and pricing range. I read several reports from magazines. I would be interested in amount of rounds shot. Ammo feed issues. Fit and finish should be pretty good for a handgun that ranges around a grand. Thanks for any input you have. Oh and I should say this should be the version that is DA/SA and the SRT trigger system.:cert:

I have a SIG P229 Elite. It is DA/SA and has a Short Reset Trigger (SRT). I think the construction, fit and finish is very similar to the P220 Elite. I really like it. The double action trigger pull is a little clunky, but aren't they all? The really nice thing about it is the SRT. If you learn to properly stage the SRT, you can get off a string of well placed, accurate shots very nicely.

Overall, it has become one of my favorite handguns.

Thanks Nox. Any feed or ejection issues? It looks great in the pics the stainless version. I will try to shoot it before I purchase.:cert:

I've never had a single feed or ejection issue with it... I personally didn't like the stainless version... Here's mine.

]Is that the dark version or Nitron? I was looking at their site. Man they have too many damn versions to pick from. How are the wood grips? Are you a glove wearer when shooting? What caliber? I think the 229 had 9mm and .40 listed.

Yes, I think it's what they call the Nitron finish. It's a 9mm. I have way too many .40's and .45's and I just wanted a relatively compact 9mm which is a joy to shoot. I don't wear gloves when I shoot. I really like the wood grips, but I removed them and put on the composite grips because I tend to be pretty hard on my guns and the wood grips would just get all banged up.
