Just bought one of these to play around with while we are out riding. So what do you use for video editing?

He's practicing with the software. Pretty cool vid. I think you should angle the camera a bit more up next time.
I love mine. I've used it at the track, on the back roads and on the trails!!!

Not bad for your first attempt. Not bad at all.
I see you shot it in 1080p. Is there not a 16X9 option or version?

i shot it in 9 something because the manual says that format is better for slow motion (48 fps i think)...i think windows moviemaker converted to 1080 for upload. there was a 16x9 option when saving.. should i have done that?

I certainly would have. When you don't, you end up chopping off the sides of the video. You'll end up with a letterbox video (black bars top and bottom) because youtube displays in 4X3 mode. But so what. You still get a wider video.
I have a Mac and use iVideo. Here are a couple vids...

syf350, please explain. What is the thing, how is it mounted, and why doesn't the HJC thing shake at all, it's obviously traveling.
Hero gopro camera. Mounted to a sticky base attached to my helmet (the hjc thing) in a weatherproof housing.

That shit is smarter than me. Pretty slick little camera though. Do a search. You'll find some amazing video out there shot with one.
I we'll tell you though the first time I tried it I had it mounted to my handlebars and it wasn't so stable.
