I hate my gardener.

He's this weasel-y, south of the border, thinks he's so slick...well...let's just say I hate my gardener. I used to do my own lawn when it was smaller. Now, I have about 1/2 acre worth of mowing to do, and I figured I'd let someone else hassle with it. So I hire this pendejo.

Today I went to Home Depot and got a new Honda HRX Self-Propelled mower. First of all, setup was a snap. Took me 5 minutes. I decided to take it for a test run. This damn thing was pulling me along. I finished half of my front lawn in about 15 minutes. Didn't even break a sweat, and the cut was outstanding.

Looks like it's vaya con dios for the gardener! :seeya:

First off allow me to congratulate you on the forums first use of "pendejo".:rep:

If your yards so huge why not get a rider? I don't like self propelled as they have a tendency to do burn-outs in the lawn sometimes but that's just me.

Either way I'm happy that you're happy.

Thanks. And in proper context too!

I had a rider...and I considered a zero-turn, but I have some slopes that I'm not comfortable going on with a rider. And...I could use the exercise. There is definitely a learning curve with this thing. :yesnod:

Oh great, you get rid of your gardener and tomorrow Aledo will have another Messican food cafe.

2 acres here, thinking of the zero turn but good ole John Deere GX345 for the time being. It takes about 1.5 hours to mow with all the new obstacles in the yard. Still break out my handy Toro self propelled at my pace lawn mower to mow the ditch and around a few obstacles, 848 feet of fence.

One acre here, with just under 3/4 covered in grass. Takes about an hour on the rider, then another 1/2 hour if the ditches need pushed mowed. I think it could be done quicker, but I believe she really enjoys the time away from me. Been thinking about getting her a new self propelled pusher, maybe for her birthday.

She just got all the dies set up to reload .223's. We'll fire the first 25 test rounds on Wed, then she can get started on reloading that bucket of brass!

Maybe you should buy a new computer, because the last time I looked, any sort of walking that you do is considered exercise. And good exercise at that. I walk my neighborhood every night for an hour and I don't see how that's any different from walking behind a mower. It's just one more thing to do.
