I haven't seen a body distend and fly like that since the Tom Pryce/Jansen Van Vuren wreck during the '77 South African Grand Prix...

Van Vuren crossed the track to assist another marshal in putting out a fire in a stopped Shadow. Pryce came past in a group of cars and was unsighted until the very last second.

This is an edited version, the whole terrible moment is here, but the worst of it is blurred out. Pryce was said to have been going over 170mph at the moment of impact. Van Vuren was 19, Pryce was 27.
