I think most guys don't really even notice the dirt, as long as it's organized, and stuff is put back where it goes. At least that how I am. A lot of women are absolutely anal as far as looking for dirt, like a school teacher marking a test, they come in a room, and start looking around right away....:madwoman:

Hard call to make. I've known pigs and neat freaks of both genders.
Me; I'm somewhere in between. As long as it's organized.

Generally, women keep their places neater. I'm happy if the place is fairly clean without a lot of junk laying around. I have no interest in organizing my sock drawer, however.

Both genders can be dirty.
With men, it's a different kind of "dirty." I don't know of many women who have skidmark-stained underwear in the middle of the floor. :funny:

After owning many bars I can tell you the women's washroom was 10x more disgusting then the mens. A guy might piss all over the floor or the seat but the women who like to squat over the seat like to shit and throw dirty toilet paper all over the place.
Not to mention having to deal with tampons and maxi pads overflowing the toilets every night.
At home the girls from my generation are slobs compared to the guys.

Bingo...
most women are slobs these days compared to men. Least women around my age.

And the reason for that is that they were never required to make their bed, wash their clothes, clean the house, or anything else when they were growing up. Most are like my neighbor; he's a doctor, but he doesn't even know how to mow grass. I used to think he's just a slob, but he mows his own grass, he just doesn't know how. He's never been taught to mow closely around trees (he gets maybe within 10'), or how to wash a car, or how to take care of equipment.

well as a bldg engineer i usaully have to take care of toilet stoppages, so 98% of them come from the ladies room, so go figure what i said:yesnod:

:seasix: My first five years (apprenticeship) in the pipefitters union I worked for a company that had maintaince contracts on some large office buildings.
Without a doubt the ladies rooms gave us the most calls and were always in the worst messiest / smelliest shape!

I tend to think that people who are organized also keep a cleaner home. Having worked and socialized with co-workers, looking at their desk is a good clue as to what their home looks like. Same goes for their cars.
As for me....I'm ridiculously organized and I've actually had people tell me that they'd love to reciprocate and invite me to their home for a party but they're too embarrassed that it's not clean enough. :confused5:

I've seen the ole bait and switch where you date a guy thinking he picks up after himself only to descover a closet slob. My name isn't Hazel and i am not wearing a maid outfit so pick up after your damn self. With that being said, the bathroom sat work are disgusting. I don't even want to know what their house looks like. :willy:

A man might be lazy, but he will hire someone to come clean his place. A woman do not want anyone touching their dirt.
Chicks are dirtier, but I like to see them nekkid.

I agree with Mike and the others about women in public rest rooms, but alcohol has a lot to do with it, and disregard for others. If you go to THEIR house though, they'll get pissed about leaving the seat up, or a few drops of water on the counter! :madwoman:

And I have it bad. We have two bathrooms. My wife and i share one and my daughter and son share the other. All I am going to say is that thank god my wife has had a hysterectomy.

I guess it really kind of matters.....
In that who is the 'pet person' now wife here in the past has had a few 'odd' pets like iguana, and something else I forget what, but the cats and dawgs generate 90% or better of the crap cleaned up in any house.....so the slob is inevitably the PET person.....the trash/filth follows the location of the pets...period, end of discussion.....
by myself I have never once considered any pets, over 1/2 century now, not even once, chicks involved, for some reason they always have to bring in something messy, bird, cat, dawg, same thing it's a damn mess.....wait a week and vacuum the house, look at the bag/canister contents, one whole animal went in the trash.....:seasix:
our kitchen counter tops are black, cat litter bits and cat hair all over it, wipe it off every evening, same for table, not to mention all the dander and hair all over the joint, in beds, in clothing, no keeping up with it...period....
I not very organized, that's for sure but it's all clutter that eventually I get pissed at and reshuffle the deck on the titanic....
Linda complains of my garage, WTF?? it's outta site and keeps wheels rolling, unless she would rather do that....eh?? I think there is way too much junk in the house, I could toss shit outta here like mad, and still be busy for a damn week....
MY 'tude' through life is, I not seen it with a grin or positive thought, not used it, for over a year, in the bin it goes.....:seasix::kimblair::leaving::shots:
SHE would say the same for every oddball part in the garage or work shed....trick is, she don't pay the parts bills.....eh what??

NOW, the rest of the story.....
this house was a damn remodelers' dream or nitemare depending on your outlook, Me, I"m 6'5" and 225, in the dozen or so years we been together, Linda and I have, with some help from her kids/nephew.....
put on a 300' addition, they did the sheetrock, I did the rest except or the block/concrete foundation work, that included roof....
we put on a FREE aluminum atrium on a tearout from another job site...right price, poured/screeded/framed out own concrete including tile, replaced all the doors and windows with totally new, on the OEM house......
rebuilt the kitchen into something livable, brought the washer/dryer inside, moved a bearing utility wall, moved the HVAC air handler, redid all the air ducts in house, moved the WH outside to an adjacent shed...tiled over 700' of flooring in the process, carpeted the house many times, rehung/capped the stupid textured ceiling in the living room/hall, put up crown molding, removed many walls, reframed so much I can't even describe....
tore out the hall bath, blew out a stupid framed in 18" door linen closet, incorporating it into the new hall bath with a 72x42" jacuzi/whirlpool tub, all new plumbing in the house, don't miss a junctioin....rewired the entire joint from SEC through bathroom GFI's all copper 20 amp, I don't mess with any 15 amp bullshit......then the old master bath, redone top to bottom, scraped the kitchen ceiling to get rid of the old messed up texture crap we just flat ran outta steam on....and so wet it all down and did our own textureing about 300' worth......
BTW, I made our kitchen cabinets, SHE bought the doors off the net, raised panel solid maple.....same for the new cabinet replacing the stupid linen closet mentioned above.....
NOW through all that shit that lasted over 6 years that little 130 lbs 5'5" shrimp must cleaned house 50 billion 20 million times, toss in another 100k just on a SWAG.....
NOW that don't include the motor home project over the last ~3 years, much less the Miata, and the vette, or her Escort, and the other vehicle projects for her family.....and my friends.....
Linda, I"m bored, grab another broom, there going to be DUST a making.....

I'm kind of suprised by those results. Most of the single women I know are slobs and most of the single guys I know keep there places pretty clean.

I can only speak for myself when it comes to cleanliness. I am a little messy but am not at all dirty. Basically, my house is 10 minute clean 99% of the time.
On a side note, my division was in charge of all of the CHT (sewage) systems on the ship I was on in the Navy. 99.9999% of the time, when something broke, it was because a female decided to flush a red-nosed river rat despite signs everywhere saying not to do so.

But the pic above nails it. You'll keep clean that which is your priority.
