...so my son, his wife and I went to the Denver Dumb Friends league to check out two that I had preselected. When I went there, they asked where I was planning to take the dogs. When I asked why, they told me the first had a small problem with dog aggression (I live right by a 6'000 acre state park with one of the best dog parks I've ever been to) and the second had a problem with children...apparently he likes to use them for chew toys.
I'll be trying again next week with a new shipment.

At least they were honest about it. Better luck next time. :cert:

Don't give up. I'm glad they told you. Fletcher (my tornado survivor rescued cockapoo from the humane society) says hi! He is snuggled up next to me.

I got my best buddy from a rescue on Christmas Eve last year.
Went to Pet Smart this evening to buy him some presents and the same rescue was there with a bunch of pups... it was all I could do to not adopt another. If I had the room, I would do it in a sec.

The five doggies here say "YAY for adopting!"
Four are our adopted furry kids and the fifth is our foster, Lewis. He's meeting a potential adopter on Monday. :)
Lewis...

Molly was a rescue. She's one of the best dogs I've had.

My SIL in LI is taking theirs back to the SPCA on Tuesday. Their dog trainer said it's untrainable, and quipped that she thinks it's part Dingo...:Jeff '79:
The thing just hauls off and bites the kids, for no reason, and it's only a pup...They're gonna just buy a puppy from a breeder....Getting a dog from the SPCA has to be a perfect fit, or it just ain't gonna work....
We tried also, and the dog wanted to dominate our other dog, to the length of grabbing it by the neck, and throwing it around like a rag doll..See ya.....
The dogs at the SPCA are there for a reason, so choose wisely...
As a caveat, we adopted two of the bestest, most loving, kittens in the world.:cert:
