PC, nanny-state government happened to that :yesnod:
My dad used to tell me stories of working for ConEd in NYC in the 60s and early 70s--how he'd go out to lunch with contractors and get buzzed, then drive back to work in the city traffic. Sounds like more fun times than what we have now :shots:

My Dad told me similar stories of life at Fort Knox as a Civil Service employee during the 1960's through mid-seventies. They had "happy hour" on post daily from 3 PM to 4 PM, drinks during lunch breaks, etc.

They was before the military began deglamorizing alcohol consumption.
Back in the 60s and early 70s I worked in a well known companies Brewery here in Albany. We could drink (free) what we wanted when on lunch or a smoke break. There were always a couple kegs set up.
Ah the good old days!:hurray:

I'm guessing the 21 law killed off coin-op alcohol dispensers.

the original got replaced with a condom machine in the bathroom since that's what it led to anyway.
