My 7 month old German Shepherd doesn't ask to go outside. He just quietly sits by the door hoping you notice. Starting last Saturday I started teaching him to ring a small bell on the door.
He didn't seem to get the idea. Then, I'm watching a movie tonight and, ding! He rang the bell to go outside.
Good boy!
Gotta love the GSDs....

I'm firmly convinced that GSD's have a helluva lot more sense than most people.
Good pup. :seasix:

Our dog just comes and stares at us, laying his head on our legs.
It means he wants to go outside, needs food or needs water. He won't react unless you say the thing he's waiting for.

My other one does that too. Amazing how they communicate. If she really wants something she will bark or sit on you.

I'm a dog lover. I'm also a hater of those that don't control their dogs. I'm definitely outnumbered here in a backwards ass third world country. :shrugs:

Most folks look to their parents for toilet training when they are very young. If he doesn't have that stuff down pat by now, I doubt the dog is going to be able to explain it to him any better.

I just gave back my friend's Schutzhund trained GSD after dog-sitting for the last few days. Didn't want to give her back. :(
Say hello to Anya :kimblair:

I always liked dogs in the past until I moved to the islands...
The Philippines dogs are a whole different breed, well maybe.
But bad owners (99.9%) , and non owned strays are a serious headache.
I get so aggravated at them shitting in my yard, and messing the trash, that it makes me happy when they get cooked. :yesnod:
They sleep in the road, and won't even get out of the way when a car drives by, as if they expect you to just drive around them!
Oh well... what can you expect I guess, when you don't keep your livestock fenced in.
