Wash. family about to bury dog finds surprise

YELM, Wash. — If Scamp the dog was living up to his name by playing a trick on his owners, a grandmother in Washington isn't laughing.
Reta McKinlay thought her grandchildren's puppy died after it escaped through a fence at her Yelm home and was hit by a car. The terrier-Shih Tzu mix was bleeding, his eyes fixed. He wasn't breathing.
McKinlay told The Olympian her husband wrapped him in a blanket on Dec. 3 and left him under a wheelbarrow to keep animals away. They prepared to bury him the next morning.
She told her 6-year-old twin grandchildren that Scamp had gone to heaven.
But when her husband returned, Scamp was sitting up.
The family has spent $3,000 on veterinary bills since. McKinlay says Scamp's return is the family's Christmas present.

Almost pulled the trigger on a Chocolate Lab this week (fo free!) Local domestic and wild animal farm got busted this week for animal cruelty and abandonment. Several pure breed dogs got picked up. :seasix:

Chocolates are the best, especially when they let the kids dress them up for Halloween:

Cute kid! Love your floors, too, Mike. You do them yourself? Theresa's getting new flooring in our family room this year as part of her Christmas present. I've learned alot about the process through it all. :seasix:

Never lose the fear, that's when you grow weak. Consider this thread to be an early Christmas present.

:yesnod:Wrote the check out to floor sanders myself... :leaving:
I wish, I had time to do that - I think in a couple years they'll need to be redone , I plan on doing it then. Make sure to post up some before and after pictures.
Thx for the cute kid comment - that is our youngest daughter, Evelynn, dressed as the itsy-bitsy spider this past Halloween.
