I wish my dipshit of a country had more of an interest in the automobile, nothing but a bunch of Eskimos running around in their boring Honda Accord sedans going back and forth to work.

To their slight credit, Canadians were the only ones ever able to run a Trans Am in Trans Am. In 1969, the U.S. built Pontiac Trans Ams all had 400 cubic inch engines (6.6 liter) putting them outside the max displacement of 5.0 liters.
In Canada, you could order a Trans Am with the Chevrolet DZ302, the same engine that came in the Z/28 Camaro. Therefore, Canadians were able to campaign Pontiacs in their namesake race series while Americans were stuck with the 400 motor and forced to run Camaros if they wanted a GM product. Still not sure how Mopar was able to run de-stroked LA smallblocks at 304 ci when the street cars had 340's.
