He is a bright doctor; but the format of his show is difficult to watch.
Wife DVR's every show :leaving:

No, Rosie O'Donnel has the same effect on me and I'm not jealous of her.
"Smarmy lookin' mofo." I think Yerf Dog's on to something.

The woman seem to love him? Go figure that one out!
And all the stupid little games are really low IQ childish crap. Hard to watch for sure.:toetap:
Too bad the format sucks, he is quite intelligent and the topics are informative and helpful.

I don't like him either. He had a piece in Time magazine a few months ago describing his colonoscopy; I think he may have had a cancer scare or something. He disregarded the GI doc's orders on flushing your bowels and even ate some lentils the night before. He bitched about every damned step of it, how miserable it was, how sick he felt, and he was critical of everything. He came across as a piss-poor whiny little shit...which he likely is.

Smarmy lookin' mofo.
Thought about this as a definate possibility, but Jeff Probst is the king of smarmy and I think he's funny and entertaining.
Something about Oz's smart ass face combined with a certain gheyness. I don't know.

And why does Oz (and the doctors on the other show "The Doctors") always wear scrubs?
Every practicing doctor I've known wears a suit & tie in an apperance. It's starting to get silliy... like Consumers Report; where everyone puts on a white lab coat - and become instant researchers.
Oz is proven though; he can get away with wearing whatever he wants.
I'd believe "The Doctors" more if they weren't trying to "play the role", and were actually living it.

What makes it hard to watch? Never seen it, just curious. My little sister is the new producer so I have been meaning to try to catch it.

never liked the guy. 6th sense intuition kicks in overdrive when I saw him on tv.

for me... it's good medical info, but featured in a grade-school manor.

Just watched it for the first time. My parents were sitting in the front row, right behind the "experts". My Mom actually got on the mic and gave her two cents.

I saw an interview with him and his wife once. His wife talked about how much they argue and how it was what kept them together.:confused5:
I would rather hear Dr. Sanja Gupta talk. He has a great book "Cheating Death" that is really a good read.
