The "walk-on skit was humorous, but Baldwin is still wrong. Yes, flying is no longer a fun adventure, it has pretty much become just a humiliating, horrible experience for all, so his earlier "tweets" were on message.

However.......Baldwin, because of his behavior on that plane, lost the gravitas to complain about the suckage that air travel has become. He should have simply apologized right away, then skulked into the shadows. He made the air travel experience even worse for those folks he delayed with his selfishness. The stewarde...er, um flight attendants didn't get paid any extra to deal with his crap, and the people he delayed didn't get compensated for their extra wasted time, either.

He's going to use his bully pulpit to condemn unpleasant air travel? Look in the mirror, dude. You are part of the problem.

In Qantas you can unbuckle 3 to 4 minutes after take off to use the lavatory even while the plane is still on heavy climb-out. no litigious attitude if you will lose your footing or worry about if you turn on your electronics once you exceed 10000 ft.

we can operate the same way. People will not be pissed off and the flight crew will have it much easier. In this country it could be 30 minutes until they let you out of your seat or give the go-ahead to turn on electronics. They make their own problem...it is not the passengers!
