i put bread in my toaster, wait for a bit, and out comes toast....but where did the bread go???

please follow directions and do not bend the time-space continuum without proper training.

Go look at the top of your toaster. Almost every one I've seen has a specified side for 1 slice. :toetap:

Mine says "Hot surface" and shows a diagram on which side of a sliced bagel should face.
