Lilly Munster has an eating disorder and eats suicide victims...
Eddie Munster is still a werewolf, but at the start of the pilot he doesn't know this, or that his family is comprised of "monsters". The pilot ends with the family having to move, due to a "bear attack" (actually Eddie in full wolf mode) during a Boy Scout camping trip Eddie is on.
Marylin Munster was adopted, and either her biological mother, or Lilly Munster tried to eat her as a baby.
Grandpa Munster is not a vampire. He is a 600 year old shape-shifter.
The tone of the new series is said to be a mix of True Blood and Modern Family. I have enjoyed showrunner Bryan Fuller's previous shows, Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me, and producer and pilot director Bryan Singer (Apt Pupil, X-Men, X2) has solid skills, even if he hasn't touch either of the genres in play here, horror and comedy.
I do know one thing... this show is going to be batshit weird.
