The Toyota/Scion isn't worth mentioning IMO.

What i am waiting on it to see if the BRZ will come in a 275-300hp sti trim....:dunno:

Depending on cost, I don't think the 200 hp will be enough.

Yeah... I'm gonna need more than that.

I won't even look at it with 200hp. The key to this car is a turbo boxer that can be modded. If and when that comes out, that car will be nothing short of epic in the japanese tuner circles. :yesnod:

According to Merriam-Webster's Dictionary, "86" is a slang term that is used in the American popular culture as a transitive verb to mean throw out or get rid of, particularly in the food service industry as a term to describe an item no longer available on the menu, or to refuse service to a customer.

:waiting:

I like the idea of cars that weigh less than 3000 lbs- they need to come back.

Even though Toyota bankrolled a good part of the development, its sad that they have to rely on a re-badged car because they would have spent too much money to make it all themselves. Definitely helps Subaru achieve economy of scale.

Turbo has already been mentioned in the Subi camp. I suspect both will get one down the road. I've been watching this car very closely since the original design was shown. Timing will be perfect for a car for my daughter.

I didn't even think of that, lol, but most car people know what AE86's are.

Also, I heard the toyota version will only be marketed as an 86 in their home market where the term 86'ed doesn't exist.

I had heard the Subayota was going to have more power than the Toyobaru...

They have been talking about the STI version for months. There just hasn't been any official word from Scooby Doo about it just yet.. :kick:

yeah, the BRZ in STI concept trim at the LA auto show looked pretty sweet but I guess we'll have to wait until wednesday to see the real deal and get some production specs.
