anyone else have one? what was your experience with the programming? also, once set-up did it work like its supposed to controlling all the devices in their particular order?

Beer me, I'm done... :datawiz:

Man, those have really come down in price. Will it operate your cable box, as well as all of your other A/V components ? I just may have to get one, if you end up figuring it out....Good luck....:waiting:

The reviews are horrid for that one...No wonder it's so cheap...The good ones cost around $140-$150...... I'd take it back, before you blow a gasket.

so far yes, its recognized all the components, including my media player (which i was concerned about) its just getting the thing to sync them for the "one button" control.

i hit the TV button, everything is fine, cable box on TV on. hit the media button, the cable box stays on, TV turns off, the media player turns on etc etc etc... I'm having a Beer now but ill tell ya the thing was pissing me off!

i read reviews there and elsewhere they were 50/50, most websites had a 4 out of 5 rating overall. i knew programming it could be a challenge going into it but holy shit...

I'm on my 3rd, I think, Harmony remote. I love them.

As long as you know the models of your equipment and which inputs and outputs everything is plugged into it's really straight forward.

i went through the prompts from the software and it recognizes the equipment it just doesn't sync (turn off and on the devices independently) properly. ill get it, its just a matter of time.

Good luck Meanie.
That's why I used to just keep 1 or 2 remotes near me and the rest with the gear. I would just grab them when I was using them.

Keep the beers on ice.

The one we have is great, but we did have a problem migrating it to Mac. It seems that there was a driver compatibility issue with Mac (OS was Snow Leopard) and I couldn't get the remote to sync. After migrating the software back to an old Windows OS PC in the garage, it worked fine.

I had that problem when I first got mine, there was a page that let you select how the remote handled the PWR for each activity and weather or not to turn things on and off when switching activities.

Hey Meanie. You figured it out yet?
You understand that no matter what you do the mute button won't work on your wife?

I just got back from a neighbor's house who has a home theater, and we watched Pirates of The Caribbean # 4 in 3-D....It sucked, but the 3-D TV was actually really good. He has the Logitek $169.00 remote....It is really nice, and works to perfection. Send back the $70.00 model and get the good one....Advice from the Geek Squad, who put in his electronics.....I was wondering how the price was so low on that thing, because I was actually looking at the $169.00 one, and thought that was the one that you have. Big difference, according to my neighbor, who was told by the Geeks not to bother with the cheap one.....

It does take a second or two for it to execute all of the on/off commands. :datawiz:

yes Sir. its a rechargeable battery and can't be replaced with normal ones. we'll see how long the charge lasts in a day or so i would guess...

uh, no. i paid 140 bones for it. on the logitech site its 200.

back to the button placement question, its actually better than expected. the same buttons on the harmony control the same on any of the given devices remote...:seasix:

Honestly, for me it wasn't about hiding the equipment. I wanted the dedicated red, yellow, green and blue buttons.

But the RF is nice...never have to worry about aiming the remote.

:cert: I'm used to pointing the remote so biggie there.

so far since i got it set up, i think its awesome! the one button feature is worth the bucks... :seasix: the button placement is great too. it basically mimics the originating remotes buttons and functions... :seasix:

the only thing that bugs me is the polished finish, shows all the fingerprints, especially when you've been eating butter covered popcorn... :D
