My wife had it years ago and swears by it. I have worn glasses since fourth grade but could not bring myself to do this. I break into a cold sweat just getting the annual glaucoma test

So not only can I see without my glasses, but I saved a life, too.

I am forever in your debt.
How does this PRK to LASIK?
Accidentally is how.

How does PRK compare to LASIK?
Main difference is that, with lasik, the cornea is sliced and pulled back lilke a flap, and there is a risk of that flap detaching due to any impact.
With PRK, the cornea is abraded off with a brush.
The recovery is longer, 3 moths with PRK, and only one with lasik, but I did get vicodin.

I'm soooooo glad that I don't wear glasses. The thought of either of those procedures gives me the heebie jeebies.

I want to get it done one day. I can't stand phucking glasses.
Ever since I've been wearing glasses I haven't been able to give the "look" anymore.

Yes you can. You are so freaking blind you can't see that you gave "the look" to three dudes and one cigar store wooden Indian last week.

My old man wore glasses since he was 12. At age 75 he went for laser, first one eye, then the other, and he's 89 now and hasn't worn glasses since the surgery! We didn't recognize him for a while. Old bugger see's better than all of his kids!:seasix:

Wore glasses from 14-18, then contacts from 18-34. At 34 my eyes started rejecting contacts. When I tried to go back to glasses I started getting vertigo, so I got lasik.
After three years I'm still slightly better than 20/20. Love it!

Hmmm. I had Lasik about 6 years ago. Not thinking I would have taken your route. My vision is still 20-15 and I didn't have any of that recovery BS.

And that's why I still wear contacts. :yesnod:

I don't think that I'd be able to wear contacts either. A long time ago, I was dating this one chick who wore glasses. She switched to contacts. For the first couple of weeks, it would take her an hour per eye to put them in. :willy:
