Just got done training. Trying to get a traditional pose to send to the breeder. Ranger was worn out from training and yawned.

Both are long haired. It's a recessive gene.

Trick question. Both American GSDs. (Although both have lines going back to Germany)
The black one has a dominant gene - all black plus the recessive gene for long hair. The other one is just long haired.
I was just screwing with you. People never know what the black one is. I've even had a lady argue with me about what breed she is. She said she was a Belgian Shepherd "I used to have one, so I know..." Lady, I have the dog's friggin' pedigree going back about 50 generations. I KNOW what kind of dog I have.... :slap:
This is a Belgian Shepherd

Similar but very different structure and coat.
This is a good shot of a GSD

GSD's are lower to the ground, more muscular. Their back is sloped downward. Their hind quarters are very different - designed for driving forward. Much more angular in the head.
