As we are a small and growing community, I am probably one of very few 2010 Grand Sport owners here, so far.
With 5,000+ mi on my Grand Sport, I am feeling settled in,
and am firming up my opinion of the GS compared to my C6 Z51 experience (75,000+ mi).
My experiences include Spring Mountain Advanced Driving School lvl 1 and lvl 2 training,
and track time in C5 Z06s, C6 Z51s, C6 Z06s.
I am offering to field questions / comments about the Grand Sport.
I will not compare opinions with Motor Trend or Car and Driver editors that put 100 miles in a GS. I put 5,000 miles in one.
Yes, the GS weighs about 130 pounds more than the Z06.
That is about the weight of a tank of gas, or carrying a passenger.
Yes, the GS stops like a Z06 (as expected). Bad brake dusting, easy to fix.
Noticable difference from my recent Z51 which had Baer Eradispeed +2s.
No, I cannot tell the difference between 3.9, 4.0, and 4.2 seconds.
It is academic, and of little real world value.
For now, here is a thread to unload about the Grand Sport on, and to get some real world opinion.

Roy,
How is the ride compared to the Z-51 suspension?
Do you have the 6M or auto?
Does the GS come with deer avoidance gear?

The Grand Sport feels much more like the Z06 than the Z51.
I have track time in both the C6 Z06 and C6 Z51, in same-day sessions,
and the GS is very much like the Z06.
My 2010 GS is MN6
My 2005 C6 Z51 was an A4.
Deer avoidance - 9 MM Ruger
Deer are evil - kill em all - bucks, does, pets, bambi

Can I borrow some of that deer avoidance gear??
Another question,
How does the transmission feel compared to the Z?
Have you tried the launch control yet?
One question - are they dealing on them?

One question - are they dealing on them?
Yes dealers are dealing.
I paid GM Supplier pricing, which was over $6,000 below MSRP.

I will be at an event Sunday at the Santa Monica Pier; will take some DSL photos to upload.
Cell phone pics do not do justice to a Grand Sport.

I like everything about the GS except the wheels. Something looks not quite right about them to me. :toetap:
Love those seats!

HMMMM...I bought a Hummer and a 08 F3 DP CTS with a GMID certificate. Saved a ton of $$$. They weren't usable on Vettes at the time.

Great that you can impart more on the differences or similarities between the models and your GS is a real beauty:cool1:

What about that brake dusting? I just got over 1300 miles on my GS Coupe and the brake dust is driving me crazy. Didn't have it that bad on my 07 Base Coupe :toetap:
