Talk about a cluster^&%* at the course this morning. My superintendant is the biggest moron you've ever seen! It is physically impossible for dew to freeze into frost at 44degrees. Yet, somehow he manages to "find" some, and back the whole dam place up! :mad::mad::mad:\

I'm getting my new roof put on tomorrow... I'm pretty stoked. My cheapest estimate (out of 4) was $7800. I ended up buying all my materials at Lowes on sale w/ the intention of DIYing it... but then called the contractor who did my neighbors.... all said I'll have just under $4k into it... so I'm saving nearly $4k by working it this way.

I think I could have executed a picture perfect PIT manuever on this mini-van this morning. Stupid b***h was on the cell phone and cut me off then gave me that 'I don't know what is wrong with YOU' look. Had she not sped up she would have been resting on a light pole right now. I gave her the obligatory 2 minute horn honk, speed up next to you tirade of :cuss:, and the I'll run your *** off the road wheel jerk. She was shook enough that she pulled over to the shoulder in a panic.
Ahhhh ... the joys of NoVA driving.
(Disclaimer: No Corvettes were damaged in this commute. I was driving the DD) :D

WOO HOOO, the rain has stopped here finally. I see clear skies and this great big yellow ball of fire rising in the east!!! First sunshine we have had in about a week. Maybe the ground will dry out a little bit. According to the weather channel we have almost doubled our normal rain fall, our rain gauge shows almost 8 inches of rain for the month. Six inches of rain fell in two days and we still have not dried out from there. UGH, the car looks like hell. Sunshine and a clean car. We have a frost warning for tonight in Indiana. FROST in OCTOBER!!:banghead::banghead:

I have been up 23 hours now without any sleep, will be able to go to bed in a couple of hours if all goes well. First night back on shift and I can never nap before starting my shift, happens all the time. :banghead:

If I leave my place before 530, I can pretty much cruise all the way to the interstate with little delay and be at work in 20 minutes.
0545 -- ~10 minute delay getting to the interestate.
0615 -- bus traffic and ~15-20 minute delay.
0700 -- I just call in sick.
I usually hop on the interestate a couple exits before my job and where I enter the interstate just happens to be where they are widening 95. It is slow moving initially as traffic merges then it opens up when it becomes 4 lanes. I may spend 10 minutes on the interstate in the morning commute no matter the weather.

I leave the house before 5:00am and it usually takes me 35 minutes to go the 35 miles door to door. I've done it in 25 minutes.:D
It takes me an 50-60 minutes to get home if I leave the office at 3:00pm unless there's a stinking concert at Nissan or it's Friday afternoon - then it can take 2 hours. :explode:

You all have a lot of self control to put up with the traffic everyday in the NOVA/DC area. I grew up in a small town with no stop lights and stop signs were looked at as a suggestion. Things still the same way back home now, but they expect people to nearly stop at those stop signs now.

Dude... I don't roll out of bed until 7:45 most mornings... leave the house by 8:15 and get to work by 8:30ish. Funny thing is my GF gets up at 6:30 and I still beat her out of the house.

I grew up in Fairfax Station... horrible traffic, but a great environment to learn to drive in. Used to take me 45 min to drive to shool in the AM. From the Lorton prison area (lived off of Ox Rd. on Hampton Rd.) to the Springfield mall area where my school was (Hayfield Secondary).
Everytime I go up to see friends I don't miss it one bit... most of them are hosue poor and you can't get anywhere.
I'm fortunate to not have much traffic going to work - takes me about 35 minutes to cruise 20 miles - all backroads, but I get behind a lot of slow people who think that 35mph is the new 50. :beatup:
Some years back when I was still in Atlanta, I was spending about 3 hours a day commuting from Duluth to Alparetta (bout 20-25 miles one way) Took about an hour and a half one way - and that wasn't even on interstates.
So glad I left that area!
Some of you have it made sleeping in so late. I'm up at 5 am every morning. 7 on weekends - I really sleep in! :needcoffee:

Grew up in Falls Church, went to High School in Arlington (O'Connell). I hope to never live in that area again...EVER.....
I spent 18 months at Belvoir, a few years ago, hasn't gotten better. Still sux.
Oh and don't get me started on the Fairfax Co Police. Hated them as a kid, still can't stand them.

Talking about traffic, usually takes me ~40 minutes to drive 12 miles from Silver Spring to the base in bethesda leaving at 6:50... Left this morning at 6:00 for my PRT and only took 20 minutes. :banghead:

You all are making me depressed. I have finished two days of work and still have 7 more before I get a couple of days off. I will be working funny hours November, Monday through Friday, a welcomed change.

Sounds like we both work screwy hours. Tomorrow a 12 hr shift, then five 8 hour shifts. The following Monday will work anywhere from 8hrs to 16hrs per day until system upgrades are done. In a couple of months I get to relocate every system to another building, expected long hours for up to 5 weeks. After building move, within another month or two I am expecting three more big system upgrades to deal with. Will be busy until next summer. People are talking about quiting due to the work load, should be plenty of overtime I guess.

I think your job is morn involved than mine. I am just an assitant manager for a tennis facility. Though I work stupid random hours it is still annoying. Nothing like doing counts and ordering for inventory.:ack:

The only time I am really busy is during upgrades and the move. The rest of the time I monitor the systems to make sure they are running and doing routine sys admin stuff.

Putting back on my old headers. LG Streets.
Long story short.
Brought the car back to stock for autocross.
Old stock exhaust system with 100K+ miles is falling apart. Welds are breaking.
Putting previous headers and new Borla Stinger catback system in so I can drive the car. It's the DD until the snow flys.

I always get the many "your email box is over its size limit" messages when taken a couple of days off, and gets shutdown if I go on vacation for a few days.
I think my limit is around 800mb and luckily I don't get many big files. I haven't had an issue with my mailbox being over the limit since 2004. :D
