2-for-1... :D
Damn. Reminds me of about a year ago... One of my mechanics came out of the service bay with a screwdriver through his hand. Ouch.

What else was he going to do? It's not like he can sit the bow down. Think about it. :D
Something happened here. He either skipped the cable out of the cam during the draw cycle or something malfunctioned on the bow. Look at the lack of tension on the string.
The arrow should have easily passed completely trough his hand, provided he is drawing above 40#.
Sorry, my inner archery nerd took over. Carry on. :leaving:

When he goes to the ER, is he gonna get busted for carrying in a weapon?

Don't think he had a broadhead on there. If he had, his hand would have been mangled a helluva lot worse.

Yeah, I was thinking that too, looks like it was just a fieldtip

I don't know. It's not functional for firing a projectile.
Definately a field tip!! Dudes lucky it was. I'd say either drawing on an arrow that was way too short, stupid mistake imho, or the arrow somehow came off the rest while letting the string down, but really hard to do with that type of rest shown. A full release would have sent the arrow clear thru his hand!
I've had plenty of carbon arrows explode on me from the knock, but really don't see how that could happen!
I heard of one local guy that had a carbon arrow explode on him, and the lower part went thru his forearm. It took doctors 17 hours to remove all the shards and carbon splinters from his arm!! Ouch!!

Better a hand than a head.
Some azzhat out here was shooting a bow in a residential area and ended up hitting a woman in the head who was 5 or 6 houses away. She lived, he is going to jail
