I have been studying my ass off for a higher license than my standard Airframe and Powerplants that allows me much more privelages, higher salry, and more responsibilities. I was going to wait a few more weeks and study more but yesterday There wasn't shit to be done after I finished up a MD500C, and at 3:00, I was told to be back Monday. I was pissed and told the boss "feck it, I'll just take my test tomorrow". He laughed and basically told me I was waisting my money and needed much more time to prepare. I was pissed, and made my mind up right then I was going to do it today come hell or high water so I can find a better job that doesn't run customers off and will give me my 40.
Just got home with papers in hand saying I'm Inspection Authorized!!!!! Can't wait to see his face Monday when I toss it on his desk and I say "Copy this and put it in my file please. BTW, I'll be needing an additional $5 an hour just like the other two numbnuts you are so proud of got." :cert:

Can't squeeze blood from a turnip. Company has been in the red for a long time. My only bargaing chip is there are three aircraft coming in in the next 6 weeks that I'm the only one who has the factory training to work on. If I leave though, they will lose those off the repair station along with two other types. The next 6 weeks I will have them in the green long enough to stay in business to sell or merge.
..., higher salry,
Well I certainly hope you get a higher one of these (whatever it is)!:hurray:

One of my supervisors is certified in airframe and I don't know what else. I understand the work involved with this. :seasix:

IA is nice to have. Good on ya brother!!! I was going to do the A+P crash course this week just to have it, but couldn't get off work. I've been working on military aircraft for 20 years and have my tickets, just need to get it done. Hopefully this winter. I have a pilots license, so naturally I need the mechanic certs.:cert:
