View Full Version : Speaking of Mercedes-Benz, I picked this one up last week.

1981 380 SLC. 190989 kms, mechanically a pin, 1 owner bought locally by some guy who lives in Mount Royal (a very rich neighborhood 1 block away from me, the US consulate rep lives there), 2 sets of rims and tires and mint interior. The body needs just a bit of work, nothing major. It drives awesome and is solid as a tank, I love it. It makes a perfect stablemate for the 450SL

Not going to do a hack job, the 450 is a 'vert (hard top and soft). :seasix:

The '79 has 113K, the '81 (380 SLC) has 191,000. :seasix:

:rofl: Admit it, you thought you had only posted this over at CF. Nice car, looks good. I really do hate those stupid giant bumpers than all late '70's US cars had though.

Last weekend, a 2004 SL55 AMG sold for 39,000 at auction. A few months before, it was a 2004 SL65 AMG selling for 30,000.

You bet your ass I'm bidding next year. :yesnod:
