I have a schoshe adaptor that will allow me to hook into my trucks antenna and plug up a MP3 or ipod to that. Anyone have an idea what a stereo installer would charge to put that in for me. It will require hooking to a keyed power source.

Ok big guy. I can easily drop by the crestview area on my way to alabama in early October. If you will do it, I will give you a ten spot.

Not really because my truck is already in Alabama and I want be driving it. But, I would have sure liked to take you up on your generous offer!

I don't know what the charge would be, but I doubt it would be much.

The reason I asked, I went to a shop once several years ago and the guy gives me a price of over $200, saying the device was very expensive. I bought the connection for about $40 but I have not put it in.

I'm not sure what a reasonable charge would be, but this is a pretty straight forward install. Where are you located?

Can you post up a picture of the adapter including the wiring?

Might be able to walk you through doing it yourself ...

I'll bet they charge $50 or so. It's an easy install as long as sliding the radio out doesn't require removing any trim panels. I've installed quite a few of those types of devices in my various cars over the years
