Keep your damn smoke out of my state!! The whole Chicagoland area stunk like smoke and was hazy as hell this afternoon thanks to your forest fire. :toetap:

The Georgia swamps just NW of Jax Florida have been burning for months on end....and supposed to run on for another 2+ months.....

underground fire....peat moss or some such shit.....

so when wind is bad, we get all gray and smelly....

just lovely....

BUT, all could have been avoided, like the Texas fires even the California fires with some forward vision like I thought of over 4 decades ago....

nuclear plants to pick up the spring snow melt, pipe it where useful, and store in whatever lake we make.....

no more Mississippi spring floods and algae bloom in the Gulf that the weenies complain about....

CASE CLOSED....

Do you have any idea how much water a Nuclear plant needs for safe operation, AND to mitigate an emergency of some sort?

Snow melt wouldn't amount to to a drop in the proverbial bucket.

It's a big damn fire Frank. 60,000 acres. Just heard that it was a lightning strike that started it. I'm willing to bet it's burning a lot from the big blow down in '99. Most of the burn is in the BWCA.
