Lobster and clams are a no-brainer. But there are some good seaweed recipes out there. Nox eats seaweed salad almost everyday.

And any seaweed she doesn't use for dinner, she can use to make a great facial mask. It works wonders on moisturizing skin. :D

Seaweed salad can be really good if made correctly..not like that shit they serve at ghetto sushi bars with the dye in it

Indeed. It's not my favorite, but we have some really good asian markets around here that make it fresh.

The first time my mother came here, she threw away the nori that was in the pantry because she thought it had gone bad...because it had dried out. :rofl: She also learned her lesson on opening jars and sticking her nose in them. Some of those spices/toppings can be quite strong. :lol:

Youre Mom had to learn the ways of the Sushi Jedi..I wonder if Nori can go bad..everytime we make sushi, it seems the texture has a slight difference depending on brand

It has a long shelf life, I know that. The texture just depends on the brand/maker. I've had sushi with nori that was terrible. Tough and chewy. :ack:
