Most folks who have some money and aren't living paycheck to paycheck live below their means. Perhaps that is the case here?

I think that issue gets into a different set of stickers. Say, the Honda Fit with a stick figure holding the title parked next to an Escalade with the stick figure holding loan docs or payment coupons. That's living within your means versus deficit spending for the sake of image or mere want.

I think the cartoon above works as is but might have been even more humorous to see the same view but the car on the right being a two-seat sportscar or convertible. After all, if the owners of the car on the right have the exact same lifestyle as the owners of the car on the left, it somewhat dilutes the message.
