Man arrested for beating employer with baseball bat

ALBERTVILLE, AL (WAFF) - An Albertville man was arrested early Wednesday morning for allegedly beating his employer with a baseball bat.
Officers were called to the home of 41-year-old Matthew Seely Jones on Country Club Road around 10:45 Tuesday night for a fight. They found 62-year-old Cheryl Chandler lying face-down in the living room.
Chandler suffered serious injuries to her head and neck and was air lifted to Huntsville Hospital. Her condition is unknown.
Police arrested Jones and charged him with first degree assault.
