Chug about 32 oz of water (cool, not iced).
Your body will thank you. 'Specially your kidneys.

I felt so bad I almost couldn't drink my bourbon.
Almost...

That kind of crap is what I'm talking about.
I worked offshore during the summer while I was in college (landrigs too) and don't ever remember being bothered this much by the heat.
BTW, TMI on the fan visual.

Guess this was before the wind changed direction and brought all the marsh fire smoke up here.....makes it even more pleasant outside.:D

We into a elder care shituation here, and so the old lady don't like cold house...fine by me, 78f daytime 77 overnight....but we keep a floor fan on sweep over the bed on lo speed.....these daze I get outta the shower I pull the pin for fixed and bend over in front of it....the cool/dry air goes up my cheeks, down my legs and over my bod....even dries out the under arms and my nutz........
works good man try it sometime....

There is a Georgia swamp fire still smoking, and it comes over us every once in a while....kinda hard on my lungs, but wife is only 59 so she still does her morning walk of about 2+ miles....arthritic feet limit that activity for me.....
but even that is nothing compared to '98 her when the swamps south were burning and this town could not see across the street, and I found perfectly formed tiny leaves falling from the sky...as gray ash.....

It's been 100 and more everyday in August down here except for one day. I begin my vacation tomorrow afternoon and will be heading to nice and cool Colorado

It was 100* here yesterday too. We've broken records all summer but it hasn't been as awful as the Texas people have had it. We all need a break from this heat! :yesnod:
