I've lived in my house about 5.5 years and have never had any vandalism, never been an issue. Today I get home from the VaDriven Uno's lunch meet and get ready for my drive to MD for work. I go to hop in my truck which is parked on my street in front of my house and I'm greeted with a nice scratch down both driver's side doors... it's through the paint and no amount of buffing will fix it. It's pretty apparent that some jackass kid decide to stick a key out when walking down the street... easy to tell becuase the key mark is somewhat short and not crazy deep. My former life as an insurance adjuster taught me that when people don't think they're going ot be seen they do more extensive damage and the more angry they are the deeper the scratches... so this was most likely some stupid ****ing kid.
My truck isn't perfect, but it's my DD and I try to keep it nice... it just really pisses me off that someone has ****ed with one of my vehicles. If it was one of the Corvettes I'd probably be ready to kill someone.
My neighbor is a Va Beach cop and she said to file the report regardless to it's recorded so they can track it if it becomes a problem in the area. She also said she noticed a random teen lurking around this AM that she didn't recognize. They just bought a new Ford Flex so she's going to make sure to keep it in the driveway vs. on the street where it's easy to walk by and key w/o being as noticed.
G'night... **** vandals.
