This morning some troll rings my doorbell and informs me some "builder" is going to be doing work in my neighborhood blah, blah. Well, this is the third time someone from the same company spouting the exact same spiel has been here in the past year. They point to the window next to my door and proceed to tell me how I have the original windows and really should upgrade to double pane blah, blah. Normally I just say no and shut the door but today for some reason I decided to walk out and show her how the windows are double pane, insulated, gas filled, low E blah, blah. I wonder if anyone ever falls for this crap.

When I was in high school I worked for the telemarketing department of one of these shysters. I hated that job. The only good thing was I got to smoke a lot of doobage before, during, and after work. They didn't care what we did as long as we got the salesman in their living room. Our creed was "lie, lie, lie, and then lie some more".
We had someone come by recently and tell us how bad our windows were. I asked them to wait a minute while I called the window company who installed our bad windows the year before. Of course these windows were from a reputable installer and not these fly by night idiots trying to sell me theirs.
I hate salesmen unless I call them and ask them to come by.

Had a guy come in my house to show me windows. I needed some. He told me that the windows are gonna roughly be $1100-$1200 a window. I asked him what would justify that price. He said because the gases in the windows come from the moon. I shet you not, that's exactly what he said! All I could do was bust out laughing!! I told the guy that was the funniest thing I heard all year and that we are done here. I showed him the door.
