LOS ANGELES ~ We loved Lucy and we still do.
On the 100th anniversary of her birth Saturday and 60 years since "I Love Lucy" first aired, Lucille Ball's legacy remains remarkable — and her talent remarkably fresh and watchable.

one of the better lines from the TV show -
she of course had a running gag that Ricky wouldn't give her enough money, so she constantly schemed for ways to make a little extra coin. one day, Ricky catches wind of her latest scheme, does a quick analysis, and correctly concludes that Lucy is losing money on each sale. Lucy, not to be deterred, argues back "It's ok Ricky, we'll make it up on volume."
too many people and companies to this day think they can make it up on volume.
Great, Smart Lady!!

She was a hottie when she was young. I've seen her in some movies from the 1940's and she was the real shiznitz! :yesnod:

My ex husband hounded her for an autograph....he sent her a letter months before she died...never heard a word until months after she passed...he received an autographed pic...not sure that it is authentic...but he's the autograph expert...not I...
