I'm gonna take up for him...kinda. Logic tells me he doesn't need to money to play...if he does, God help him. I don't think he needs to be in the spotlight. Witness what he's doing in this hot Mississippi heat: He's at the Univ. of Southern Miss. helping with practice, which got noticed only accidentally when the press happened to be there.
I think he just loves football. He's taken lots more hard hits than most other QB's have, and he keeps getting up and plays. He should've been seriously injured in the Super Bowl but wasn't. I think it's just hard for him to stop playing football. Is it the smart thing to do? No. But it's an emotional thing with him.
